When refreshing the metadata of the built-in SSIS components, any previously setup metadata is simply discarded and any user customizations are lost. COZYROC SSIS+ components make it more convenient to refresh both source and destination components.
Smart Metadata Refresh for Source components
When refreshing an SSIS+ source component, SSIS+ will detect whether the user has made changes to some output columns (e.g. changing DataType or other properties like Length, etc.) and will ask the user whether to preserve those changes or to do a complete metadata reinitialization.
Smart Metadata Refresh for Destination components
Since version 2.0, when refreshing an SSIS+ destination component, SSIS+ will detect whether the user has already specified column mappings that would get lost upon metadata reinitialization and will ask whether to preserve them.
