CozyRoc have just released SSIS+ 1.5 Beta 2. There is one major new task included. It is called “Parallel Loop Task“ and as the name implies it provides ability to execute multiple iterations of the standard Foreach Loop Container concurrently. In tests, a CPU intensive sequential process when executed in parallel on 4-core machine was executed 3 times faster compared to the sequential. You can literally improve the execution speed of your packages by simple upgrade of your server hardware.

Another important addition to Beta 2 is the inclusion of support for Dynamics CRM 3.0 systems. Now you can use the same integration technology from CozyRoc for both your legacy and newer systems.

CozyRoc is happy to announce the beta of SSIS+ 1.5 library. The new version includes components for integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, enhanced tasks and connections for handling emails, enhanced support of Microsoft Excel workbook files and components for integration with Microsoft SharePoint service. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Released CozyRoc SSIS+ 1.4 SR-3 (1.4.103.0). The release includes the following major changes:

• New: A new option skipCharacters in EDI Source component configuration file. Used for specifying characters, which has to be ignored. This option obsoletes skipNewline option.
• New: Included support for proxy server in Salesforce Connection Manager.
• New: Data Flow Task Plus no longer requires at least one common column between different dynamic iterations.
• New: Salesforce Destination component now supports upsert action – update and insert of records (Thank you, Brian).
• Fixed: Address Parse component was not providing address leading data, when check in reference database option was used.
• New: Address Parse component can now provide 12 digit delivery point barcode. A purchase of USPS Address Reference database is required.
• Fixed: FTPS Connection Manager can now automatically determine if password has to be OTP S/Key protected. Manual specification is no longer required.
• New: A new optional attribute segid for segment element in EDI Source component configuration file. If specified, the component will provide segment identity information.
• Fixed: The backward compatibility issue with 64bit Windows 7 and Windows 2008R2 is now resolved. The manual fix described in the FAQ is no longer required.
• Fixed: ODBC Destination component failed with "Unhandled type." error when processing FLOAT columns (Thank you, Edward).
• New: Address Parse component can now provide additional diagnostics when address not found in USPS reference database.
• New: Script Component Plus now supports setup of column mappings user interface.
• New: Data Flow Task Plus now supports handling of dynamically added columns in the data flow script. This feature permits further customization of columns.
• New: Template Task now supports loading of template layout from file connection manager.

Released CozyRoc SSIS+ 1.4 SR-2 (1.4.102.0). The release includes the following major changes:

• Fixed: Template Task now provides more diagnostic information during the generation process.
• Fixed: ODBC Destination component failed occasionally with "Specified cast is not valid." error when processing INTEGER columns in MySQL.
• New: Salesforce Destination component now supports update and delete of records.
• Fixed: Script Component Plus failed to upgrade properly from 2005 to 2008.
• Fixed: Database Partitions Task was broken.
• Fixed: Table Difference component failed to process DT_DBTIME2 column types in SQL 2008 (Thank you, Ethan).
• New: A new option PassiveIgnoreAddress in FTPS Connection Manager to specify to ignore provided IP address in passive mode. This option is useful when the remote server is incorrectly configured.
• Fixed: EDI Source failed to load configuration files containing special characters like 1D, 1E, etc (Thank you, Bryan).
• Fixed: Script Component Plus 2008 was not updating the setup tab after script modification.
• Fixed: Disabled zlib compression in SSH Connection Manager because of file corruption (Thank you, Dmitry).
• New: A new option undefinedFail in EDI Source configuration file. If set to false, the component will not fail when new fields, components and sub-components appear in the input file.

Released CozyRoc SSIS+ 1.3 SR-6 (1.3.106.0). This release includes following major changes:

• Fixed: DB2 Destination and Informix Destination components inserted one extra rogue record (Thank you, Senthil).
• Fixed: FTPS Connection Manager was not able to upload a file in resume mode.
• Fixed: DB2 Destination and Informix Destination components failed with SQL dump in specific situations.
• Fixed: DB2 Destination and Informix Destination components did not include the fractional part of time stamp columns.
• Fixed: When RemoveSource property was set in Zip Task:
  • Source specified with file pattern was not removed.
  • If folder name was specified as a source, the complete folder was removed recursively even when IncludeSubfolders property was not set.
• Fixed: FTPS Connection Manager didn’t parse correctly Unix and Windows file names, which included two or more spaces.
• Fixed: The metadata of the data flow components was not upgraded after upgrade to SSIS 2008 package. This caused failure in the user interface and required remove and reinsert of component.
• New: Included Update license key command in License application.
• Fixed: Oracle Destination can now write BLOB columns.
• Fixed: Zip Task failed to decompress zip files greater than 2gb.
• Fixed: EDI Source component didn’t provide useful diagnostic information, when loading configuration file with errors.
• Fixed: Database Partitions Task was broken.
• Fixed: EDI Source failed to load configuration files containing special characters like 1D, 1E, etc (Thank you, Bryan).
• Fixed: Disabled zlib compression in SSH Connection Manager because of file corruption.

Update: The issue has been resolved in SSIS+ 1.4 SR-3.

CozyRoc has just learned there is backward compatibility issue under the 64bit Windows Server 2008 R2 edition (Thank you, Natali). The issue is the same like the one reported a couple of weeks ago in Windows 7. After installing CozyRoc SSIS+ the opening of SSIS packages is no longer possible. We are trying to resolve the issue with the Windows team. In the meantime you can use the manual fix we have published in the FAQ.

We have released 5 brand new data flow script components:

• Google Data Source – Get data from Google Service.
• ADO.NET Command Transformation – Execute SQL command for each row in a data set.
• Range Dictionary Destination – Creates memory-efficient dictionary object for value ranges. The object can then be used in CozyRoc Lookup Plus component.
• Levenshtein Distance Transformation – Calculates the difference between two strings.
• Soundex Transformation – Creates Soundex representation of input string.
